What Is NDT?

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a technology that evaluates parts and materials to detect conditions and flaws that could affect their integrity. Effective use of NDT depends on the skill and in – depth knowledge of the technicians involved.

Today, NDT is the most important quality tool used in manufacturing, fabrication and in-service inspections to ensure the quality, reliability, integrity and safety of structures and components.

Training

Our Training provides both the Knowledge and Qualifications that NDT Personnel need to succeed. Our Training programs are designed on the guidelines of SNT - TC - 1A of American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT), USA.


We offer NDT Training and Certification on 5 NDT Methods which are listed below :

Students will be also be benefited with extra knowledge about Destructive testing’s Such as Tensile, Hardness, Microstructure & Impact testing.


All these programs are designed with a practical approach and significantly contribute to the overall performance and work quality of NDT personnel. In addition to our regular Training schedule, we also organize On-site training programs for interested candidates, this gives them better understanding of the subject. Driven by excellence, we focus on developing skills through a combination of Extensive Theory and Intensive Practical Training. Our all-inclusive training programs strive to render the aspiring NDT personnel with enhanced skills and authentic performance results.


Examinations

The training will be followed by examination to ensure that the trainees have acquired adequate knowledge in the specific NDT method and skill in test operations. The candidates for Level I, II certification programs should appear for the following examinations separately for each NDT method after completing the training course.

1.General: Covers the basic principles, theory, applications of the specific NDT method

2.Specific: Tests ability to read, interpret and apply specific procedure, code, specification for the method

3.Practical: Hands-on demonstration of the ability to operate test equipment, perform specific calibrations and tests in order to find and report flaws of sample materials according to appropriate specifications or procedures and instructions

The examinations are administered by an NDT Level III examiner. The candidate qualification result in a passing composite grade of at least 80 percent with no individual examination having a pass grade of less than 70 percent.

Successful candidates will be awarded the certificates in the method certified within 10 days after evaluating the examination results.

Reexamination Those failing to attain the required grades should wait at least thirty (30) days or receive suitable additional training as determined by the NDT Level III examiner before re-examination. Nominal examination fee must be paid for appearing for re-examination.

Eligibility

Recommended Eligibility, Qualification and experience requirements as per written practice framed to the requirements of recommended practice, SNT-TC-1A – 2016 are given below.
